GEM Centre is a platform for debating and discussing about The South Caucasus, Central Asia and the EU. The platform offers to the EU and international stakeholders a unique space to understand developments in the region and beyond. The program focuses on analysis and discussion on foreign, security, economic and domestic policy developments in the region. The main outputs of the centre will be publications and events – public policy dialogues and expert workshops and roundtables.
GEM Centre is free of political positions and impartial in respect of political forces and actors of the covered region and outside of it. The Centre maintains a healthy balance of expertise originating from the region and from elsewhere. By offering our expertise built through the years of experience, we aim at attracting talented minds. Focus is primarily made on the new generation of thinkers from the region, which will serve as the base for the expert pool.

We are united by the idea that information should flow freely and there is a need for more knowledge of EU in South Caucasus and wider SCCA region and vice-versa. The Centre is guided by the perception that there is a need also in cooperation in cultural, economic and security areas for deeper cooperation and integration.
